Recently I suffered a sports injury and was told to have total rest! With the busyness of life its often hard to get some regular rest and recuperation but being forced into it was good for me. It made me realise that I don’t dedicate enough regular time to just relax on my own and just decompress.
Often I don’t think we really know how to decompress. To completely relax and let go, can be quit hard to achieve. Here is what I have found to bet the best ways for me to decompress and relax. (In no particular order)
- Listen to music (I usually listen to worship or classical)
- Have a long bath/ Shower (sing along songs are encouraged)
- Journal/ write a Diary
- Watch youtube
- Go on a walk
A combination of those things usually help me. Also finding people that you feel relaxed around, so for me usually my family help me feel really relaxed. Also for me opening my curtains and letting as much light in as possible immediately brings up my mood, making me feel calm and happy.
So this week Alex and I have gone back down south to visit his family and the following photos are from our time down south. I like the feel of the images, I think they reflect the general relaxed nature of the visit.
All the love,
God bless,
Gx
